This may not come as a surprise, but businesses have to work hard on social. Like, really, really hard!
Algorithms are becoming increasingly more complex, audiences are more fickle than ever and, frankly, if your brand doesn’t stand out from the crowd, you have no chance.
So to keep things fresh, brands are becoming ever-more creative with their social strategies. Which means we all get to enjoy some pretty wicked content, yay!

In no particular order, here are 10 brands we love on social right now:
Canva
The Entyce design team are pretty loyal to our first love, Adobe. But Canva is becoming a close second, and it’s easy to see why. Their social platforms are chock-full of tips and tricks, along with a pleasing mix of case studies, conferences, events, videos, and a whole host of community enhancing hashtags.
Airbnb
As the world’s most successful hospitality business, many expected Airbnb would collapse during the COVID-19 pandemic – and to be fair, it almost did. But thanks to some savvy business decisions, the company came back stronger than ever.
Airbnb’s first post-pandemic campaign, Made Possible by Hosts, relied heavily on user-generated content. Not only was this a wise commercial move, but the campaign also tapped into the global psyche for authentic, meaningful travel experiences once more.
Today, they continue to post beautiful pics of places we want to go, along with on-the-money, reactive content.

MAC Cosmetics
If any brand knows how to work each social platform to their advantage, it’s MAC.
From their kooky TikTok videos to their highly desirable Insta grid, the success of MAC’s social media strategy is in its ability to connect with a hugely diverse audience. All whilst retaining its reputation as a cosmetics industry leader.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
With over 4 million Instagram followers, The Met has the advantage of thousands of pieces of artwork (i.e. beautiful imagery) at its social media disposal.
But like many cultural brands, their creative endeavours truly thrived during lockdown when they launched their highly successful #MetTwinning campaign, keeping their audiences both engaged and amused. Just check out Pug as a Unicorn if you don’t believe us!

Scrub Daddy
Think there’s only so much you can say about a cleaning sponge? Think again!
Ever since its appearance on America’s Shark Tank (and also in part thanks to that still-ongoing phenomenon of the Mrs Hinch effect), Scrub daddy has become a social sensation. Its strangely addictive TikTok feed means you’ll waste hours watching videos of its smiley-faced sponges.
Netflix
We’re major TV addicts here at Entyce and our daily chat usually starts (and ends) with ‘has anyone watched…?’
Following Netflix on social is like watching TV with your best mate – think funny memes about our favourite shows. Their customer-centric approach means they not only tailor content depending on the platform, but also by region and what’s trending among different audiences globally.

Mailchimp
It’s true that B2B businesses don’t get as much traction on social as consumer-centric brands. But businesses are run by people, not robots (yet). So Mailchimp have tapped into this by creating content that appeals to their marketer audience – think educational and inspiring – and the rest of us, with plain old funny stuff!
Norman’s Café
A bit of curveball, but Norman’s Café has gained a surprising following on Instagram of late. There’s something of the anti-hero about their quiet, well-composed photos of no-frills café grub. Perhaps it’s because their posts are consistently shot in the same way with, the same simple backdrop. As they say, consistency is key!

Sweaty Betty
Sweaty Betty’s mantra is ‘Empowering ALL women through fitness and beyond’ and there’s no denying their social feeds do just that. Instagram is where the brand really shines, with an inclusive, go get ‘em feed that is sure to inspire you to buy those leggings go for that run!
Sipsmith
Ah gin, one of our favourite tipples! The gin market is particularly competitive, so we don’t envy Sipsmith. And to be honest, there’s probably one or two gin brands who are winning at social a little more than them.
But if anything is going to convince us to craft the perfect lime peel twist at home, it’s Sipsmith, whose Instagram is a simple mix of dreamy cocktail recipes.
Oh, and if they did need a hand pepping up their LinkedIn, we’d love to help out! #justsayin
