Much like Instagram, Twitter now allows users to edit images and enhance them with artistic filters directly through the site. The launch follows last weekend’s news which saw Instagram stop its users from displaying its images on Twitter.
The action taken from Instagram is said to have come from the wish to redirect its users back to their own site, rather than being led to alternative social media platforms. In a statement, Instagram’s chief executive Kevin Systrom said it was done to encourage people to use his website.
When the integration between Instagram and Twitter was active, it was extremely popular among users. It now begs the question as to whether Facebook will introduce a Twitter-like functionality of its own…
