.net has consistently been the world’s best-selling magazine for web designers and developers since 1994 so we were over the moon to see the Entyce website featured in the July edition.
.net is a monthly internet based magazine and website published in the UK by Future plc. Established in 1994, .net magazine is published every four weeks with 13 issues printed each year. The magazine is designed for professional and amateur web designers, and a large percentage of its readers are full-time web developers. In 2011 .net also launched as a digital edition for tablet computers.
The article reads as follows:
The independently-owned design and digital marketing agency Entyce (www.entyce-creative.com), based in Chester has shown its worth in salt even on its own portfolio site. Creative director Jane Entwistle reveals that, for the site, they used the world’s most popular CMS, WordPress. “WordPress is an established system, and we like the concept of the open source – it’s very versatile and can easily be modified and styled as required,” she adds. “AS with any software there are a few flaws, but in our opinion these are outweighed by the pros.”
In advocacy of WordPress, Entwistle adds: “It’s a great software to work with and it’s free! It’s easy to use, well documented and has a great community with lots of articles if you get stuck or need help.”
The front cover showcases artwork from different graphic designers. Digital art and designers are also catered for in the magazine, with a dedicated section called /showcase. This is where the article on the Entyce website can be found on page 72.
Artwork is still a key part of the magazine, and it features various web designers’ work in a dedicated section each issue. Good work Entyce we are constantly busy making our client’s websites amazing so it’s great to gain some recognition for the work we have put in on our own website.
