We recently completed work on two new websites for leading construction and development company Watkin Jones Group.
Watkin Jones Group approached us last year to look at their website as they were concerned it didn’t display well on devices like mobile phones and tablets due to the use of Flash on the site. They also wanted a new design which would reflect the scope of the business and the brand.
As a diverse and growing business Watkin Jones Group needs to communicate with multiple audiences. The new site needed to include information for everyone from stakeholders and investors to suppliers and local communities as well as prospective home buyers.
We worked closely with staff at Watkin Jones Group to understand their complex business needs and to build and design two brand new websites with clean, fresh designs and improved functionality.
It was an exciting project to work on and we’re extremely pleased with the results. Both
sites have been designed with accessibility in mind. They are responsive which means they will work well on mobiles devices as well as desktops and laptops. This is something that has become increasingly important and will really make a difference to their online performance.
New features have been included such as current job opportunities, case studies of current and completed schemes, a page dedicated to the company’s work with local communities along with a live Twitter feed to keep interested parties up-to-date. The websites have been built with a
content management system we have provided training staff so they can update content on the sites in-house, adding information about news and developments as and when they happen.
We’re really pleased with the new sites but more importantly so are the client and their clients. They have even forwarded on to us a letter they received from one of their clients saying how impressed they were with the new website!
