In case you didn’t hear, Entyce Creative is now a certified B Corporation! This confirms that we are committed to making a meaningful difference to the businesses, brands and lives of people we work with, as well as surpassing high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on all factors, from employee benefits and charitable giving, to supply chain practices and input materials.

But why did we decide to become B Corp? And what does it mean for us as a business? Our Junior Graphic Designer, Taylor Morris sat down with Senior Account Manager, Emma Swinnerton who headed up our B Corp application process to find out more.
How did it feel achieving B Corp certification?
We were absolutely over the moon. I was thrilled for all of us as a team and really excited to start sharing the news and generally continue improving as a business.
What made you decide to become B Corp certified?
So, I joined Entyce in June last year and when I joined, it was like a breath of fresh air. I saw all the great things that Jane and Libby were doing in terms of looking after the team, as well as all the things that Entyce as a whole were doing for the local community, the charities we support, and I just felt like it really fit in line with all the research I’d been doing on B Corp. So, it just made sense for us as a business to start the process and become a B Corp ourselves.
How long did the process take?
So, from chatting to Jane and Libby about it and then introducing the concept to the team, it probably took just under a year to complete. The process is rigorous, there’s a lot to go through, but rightly so. All the hard work is worth it, and because of that you know that any business who is B Corp certified has been thoroughly checked and verified.
What are you most looking forward to being a part of the B Corp organisation?
While it’s great for Entyce to have achieved B Corp status, it’s not just about us. We join a network of over 1,500 businesses in the UK, as well as the B Hive community, where you get to network with like-minded businesses who are all using their business as a force for good.
Also, it’s really exciting to be able to help our existing clients and future clients, if they’re looking to join us in the sustainability space and improve that area of the business. We can now talk from a position of knowledge as we’ve been through the process, we know how it works, we can help and it’s quite exciting. It’s an exciting time to be a B Corp.
Would you recommend other businesses to start the application process?
Absolutely. I’d just say go for it. Obviously if you’re a smaller team, sometimes it’s easier to access the information you need, but any business of any size, I’d say absolutely start the process. Go for it. The analysts that you are assigned during the application process are always really supportive. There’s lots of hints and tips on there. But just go for it.
