Last week our account managers Rachael and Rachel attended the ‘Duck Plus Two’ event at Hickory’s Smokehouse in Chester to celebrate the start of the Countess of Chester Charity’s annual Chester Duck Race. Vote for Poppy here!
The team at Entyce have been busy over the past few weeks decorating our very own duck which we have purchased for the race. After a great deal of thought and a brainstorming session with the whole team, we took inspiration from the Entyce brand colour palette and the recent Trolls film. We decorated the duck with a vast amount of glitter, sequins, false eyelashes and its very own pink wig.
We took our duck, affectionately named Poppy, to the event with us where she was put on display alongside ducks from many other businesses from in and around the Chester area. This allowed us to not only show off our hard work but also to check out our competition for best dressed, and tough competition it is!

Taking place on 16th September the race day will begin at 12pm with activities and entertainment, and the chance for people to purchase smaller £2 ducks for the baby duck race. The corporate duck race will begin at 3pm closely followed by the baby duck race, both of which look set to be an exciting, and slightly surreal sight as thousands of multi-coloured ducks race along the River Dee.
The race raises funds for the charity’s Babygrow Appeal, a fantastic cause which supports the Countess of Chester Hospital’s neonatal unit to update and improve upon the facilities used by its patients.
We look forward to attending the race this coming weekend and wish good luck to all the ducks taking part!
