A First Class Honours graduate turned creative director of one of the region’s hottest design agencies, Jane Entwistle is invited back as a fellow at Blackburn College.
Jane helped host University Centre at Blackburn College’s Higher Education Awards ceremony on Thursday last week. Jane spoke about her career as a successful business woman and the College’s role in giving her the confidence to run a thriving business.
The 29 year-old studied BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at Blackburn College before setting up her own Chester-based design agency ‘Entyce Creative.’
Jane said: “I’m so excited about presenting the awards at this year’s ceremony. It’s a real honour to be invited here today, because I have a lot to thank Blackburn College for. I felt at home straight away, even from the initial stage of discussing the details of the course with the tutors.”
“You couldn’t beat the enthusiasm of the tutors who boosted my desire to succeed in the industry and increased my work ethic no-end.”
One of Jane’s most impressive involvements with the College was to present to a group of 500 students at King George’s Hall. Amongst the line-up on the day was fashion guru, Wayne Hemingway.
Ian Clinton, Principal at Blackburn College, said: “We’re so pleased to have Jane back to speak about her successes. She’s an inspiration to all the students here to aspire them to fulfill their dreams and realise nothing is ever out of reach.”
