Google announced that Google+ Photos will no longer be available from 1st August 2015 and everyone will have to switch to Google Photos. “In an effort to ensure everyone has the best photos experience we can deliver, on August 1st we’ll start to shut down Google+ Photos – initially on Android, and soon thereafter on the Web and iOS.”
Google Photos was launched in May 2015 and is missing features like editing, global Auto Enhance, organising albums, editing location and date taken or tagging people in Google Photos.
If you don’t like Google’s new service, there’s always Google Takeout, which lets you export all your photos and videos.
