Huge congratulations are in order for our Director Jane and videographer Tom, both of whom successfully took part in the Chester Marathon last weekend.
Starting at Chester Racecourse, Tom began the 26.2 mile marathon at 9am, with Jane starting her metric marathon (26.2 kilometres) at 10:15am.
Of course, with ‘adverse’ weather conditions impacting the whole region, both the start and finish line had to be adjusted to ensure runners could safely tackle the entire route. But poor weather did little to dampen the spirits of our fundraisers, with Jane finishing the metric marathon in 2 hours and 26 minutes and Tom tackling the 26.2 miles of his marathon in 5 hours and 33 minutes.
Jane ran the marathon in support of Entyce’s charity of the year, Hope House, the latest in several events that the team has taken part in to raise money for this wonderful cause.
Tom ran to raise money for Dementia UK, a fantastic charity that provides nursing care to families affected by dementia. Tom raised an astounding £1,668.79 and counting for the charity.
Well done Tom and Jane!
