Well, it’s happened, we’ve reached the point in the pandemic that we hoped and dreamed for, with the majority restrictions now lifted and normal life allowed to resume (to a certain extent). Now it’s time to take stock of our marketing tactics, how they have changed over the past 18 month, and how they need to change moving forward.
So where should you take your marketing now that we have that extra piece of freedom? Should you be changing tactic?
Whilst we wouldn’t say you should be changing your marketing strategy dramatically, there are things you can do to take advantage of these new found freedoms, we take a look at these below:
Give a sneak peek into your day to day
This feeling of togetherness that brands have portrayed over the past 18 months is not going anywhere anytime soon. Showing your company’s personality and culture is a huge tactic being utilised by some of the biggest brands across the world and for good reason. It allows your target audience to get to know your business on a much deeper level than just the services you provide, thereby building trust and confidence in what you do.
Don’t forget the pandemic
Despite the fact that restrictions are a thing of the past (fingers crossed), and whilst we don’t like to dwell, we must keep in mind that the pandemic hasn’t magically disappeared, and therefore it should still have some consideration within your marketing strategy. This may be reassuring your clients of the measures you may still have in place, it may be highlighting how the pandemic has changed the way in which you carry out business or it may be sharing industry-relevant advice relating to the impact of the pandemic.
A little bit of comedy goes a long way
It’s safe to say we’re all looking for a little bit of light-heartedness after a rather heavy (putting it lightly), a couple of years. Adding that funny twist to your marketing efforts can add that a spark to even the dreariest businesses. A fun and quirky approach to your social media activity will not only increase engagement, but it once again gives your business the personality that potential customers are looking for. Our Social Media Manager recently spoke about utilising humour in marketing, read it here.
