So here I am, 6 months later. Time files. I’m a third of the way through my apprenticeship at Entyce and I have loved every minute of it. I feel a sense of belonging here and that is thanks to my colleagues, making me feel less of an apprentice and a vital part of the team. A lot of trust has been put in me and I appreciate that.

What have I been up to?
I’ve been bouncing around the office helping out where I can and it’s been a real eye opener. I’m learning what I enjoy and what I’m good at, from helping with SEO for our clients to taking control of the Entyce TikTok – which has been great fun! Check out our TikTok here.
So far, I’ve worked mainly in social, whether that be writing copy for social posts or creating graphics and videos. This has given me a better understanding as to why social media is so important to businesses in the modern day, seeing the likes rack up is a nice experience, it shows that the content you’re putting out there is being received well.
I’ve also been trusted with a huge solo project, consisting of organising, filming, and editing my own video series. It’s been months in the making and a major learning curve for me. Look out for it on a social feed near you soon! – Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
Somewhere in between all of this, I’ve also been out and about attending numerous networking events and visiting our clients, Exchequer Solutions, as part of a video shoot which I thoroughly enjoyed. I even found the time to take part in the Chester Santa Dash at Christmas with the team, complete with a sore head the day after my birthday… but knowing that I’m taking part in a fundraiser that’ll help someone out made it all worth it!
Young Apprentice of the Year 2022?
A definite highlight of the last 6 months is that I have been shortlisted for an award – Insider Media’s Young Apprentice of the Year! Whether I win or not it is another story, but it’s been a huge boost of confidence to even be nominated and I’d like to thank Jane for putting me forward.
Since starting my apprenticeship, I’ve had to mature as a person. I knew uni wasn’t for me, I wanted a career straight away and Entyce has given me this platform. If you would like to follow my journey as an apprentice, follow me on LinkedIn here. Here’s to 6 months more!
