The heavily music-focussed social networking site Myspace is set to launch a new site design.
Features from the previous site will continue, such as the ‘top 8’ friends, and options to browse albums and see which songs and artists are most popular with friends, and users can also create and share playlists and assign a ‘profile song’.
The new design will allow users to create a new account or log in with their existing Twitter or Facebook details, migrating photos and other data with them. Photographs are going to be arranged and tagged in a similar style to image-sharing site Pinterest and the blogging platform Tumblr.
Myspace has not yet disclosed when the site will launch, or who has worked on the new design, however it can be currently previewed at https://new.myspace.com/play, here it asks users to submit their email address for an invite to the new service.
