We at Entyce are huge fans of supporting local business and organisations, and nothing makes us happier than to support our local charities. We are therefore, very excited to have played a part in supporting the Countess Charity’s Rainbow Hearts Initiative.
In partnership with the British Ironwork Centre, the fundraising initiative encourages people to purchase hearts that will ultimately form a large rainbow structure, displayed at the Countess of Chester Hospital. The hearts are available in, you guessed it, all the colours of the rainbow, with the resulting structure paying tribute to the hard work and dedication of all key workers, who worked tirelessly throughout 2020 and 2021 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The funds raised during this initiative will go towards the Countess Charity’s Blue Skies Balcony Appeal, which aims to build a garden balcony on the Countess of Chester’s Intensive Care Unit, so that patients are able to benefit from an outdoor space, safely and in an infection-controlled environment.
Not only will this new outdoor space provide a much-needed reprieve from the ICU, which is often seen as a very isolated area, and into an open, fresh and beautiful area, but outdoor exposure and natural light for patients has also proven to improve clinical outcomes (e.g. reducing pain medication and shorter hospital stays).
Having supported the Countess Charity throughout the years, we have seen first-hand the wonderful work that the team do in improving patient care and we couldn’t be prouder to be supporting them once again for this wonderful cause.
