On Tuesday 16th February we visited Chester’s most unusual sporting competition which took place in the city centre on Foregate Street, as part of the official opening of the new Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival.
Thousands flooded in to see eight teams take part – all battling it out for the much sought after title.
The teams included Cheshire Cheese, Lancashire Cheese, Love Food Hate Waste and Cheshire West and Cheshire Schools Catering team.
Now in its ninth year, Chester Food and Drink Festival is an established food and drink festival, attracting over 20,000 visitors to last year’s event.
This year it aims to appeal to an even wider audience by renaming it Chester, Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival and introducing a lifestyle show and camper van event to its festival events.
