Our Head of Operations, Kerry takes us through a typical day at Entyce.
Name: Kerry Watson
Job Title: Head of Operations
Where were you born: St Asaph, North Wales
Where do you live now: Rhuddlan, North Wales

Describe a typical working day for you:
My alarm is set for 5.15am every morning and I get up and take the dogs out for a walk. I try and get to the gym at least 3-4 times a week so I head there at 6am. For breakfast I usually have overnight oats which I make the night before. It saves so much time being able to grab a ready-made breakfast out of the fridge.
Every day is different for me so it’s hard to describe a ‘typical working day’, however I usually start by checking emails and checking in with the team. My role involves working very closely with the team, ensuring we are on target with projects and work is completed to a high standard. I like to get out and meet with our clients often too. We definitely see ourselves as an extended arm of our clients’ businesses so catching up regularly is very important to us.
My evenings are relatively boring and I’m usually in bed before 10pm most nights (I’m definitely the grandma of Entyce!). My husband works late most evenings so come 6pm it is one big to do list. I walk the dogs, get dinner sorted (we eat separately so I usually end up cooking twice) and get organised for the following day. I do try and sit down for an hour to wind down before going to bed so I will usually watch something on TV.
How long does it take you to travel to work? On a good day 40-45 minutes, but if I end up stuck in the traffic on the A55, a lot longer!
What do you wear to work? Smart/ casual. If I’m in the office all day I’ll tend to wear jeans/ jumper but if I’m out with clients I’ll usually wear a skirt or a dress.
What is your favourite thing about going to work? It’s a bit cliché but it has to be the Entyce team and our clients. We’re very lucky to work with a fantastic group of clients.
Do you have a favourite website design? There’s far too many to choose from! Anything with good imagery always works on getting my attention though.
On a typical day, what do you have for lunch? I usually make my lunch in the evenings and either have leftovers from the night before or a sandwich/ salad.
What is your favourite social media platform? Instagram, without a doubt.
What is your favourite font? I’m not fussy as long as it is clear and easy to read!
What are you most famous for at Entyce? I’m always asking everyone what they have for lunch and what’s for dinner!
Where do you have your lunch at work? I do try and get away from my desk so will try and eat my lunch in the kitchen. If I do end up eating my lunch in front of the screen, I’ll try and go out to get some fresh air. The office is in a great location, right next to the canal.
Who would your dream client be? I’d have to say a luxury travel company. Although, looking at images of paradise all day would certainly make me jealous.
What’s your favourite book? I’ve recently bought ‘The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down’ by Haemin Sunim. It’s a book about mindfulness and the importance of slowing down in a busy world. I find it really hard to relax and can’t sit still for 5 minutes – I’m hoping this will work a miracle!
Who really makes the best cup of tea at work? Ginny of course
