Name: Libby Entwisle
Job Title: Managing Director
Where were you born: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Where do you live now: Delamere, Cheshire
How long have you been at Entyce: Since the day it started, beginning of 2008.
Describe a typical working day for you:
I usually wake up between 6-6.30am, not always down to choice – my two boys often wander through early and wake me up at the crack of dawn. Breakfast during the week, and through the summer months is Alpro almond yoghurt with fruit and muesli to give me energy for the day. During the winter, I often have porridge. And I always have a large mug of tea!
No two days are the same for me, so it is difficult, to sum up a typical day. Every week I have a number of meetings in and out of the office with various associated partners. We also like to see our clients regularly and either I or Jane like to be present in these as often as possible.
We have recently developed a new office, so much of my time in the past few months has been spent on this.
During my time in the office, I oversee the studio schedule to ensure we are on target with deadlines, and that the standard of the work we produce remains at the highest level at all times.
I try to get to the gym twice a week, and during the summer months, I play tennis every week. My evenings tend to be very much family orientated – getting the boys bathed and into bed, and spending time with my husband. My husband runs his own business, so we always have a lot of ‘business chat’ to talk about!
How long does it take you to travel to work? When schools are off, about 20 minutes, otherwise about 40mins.
What do you wear to work?
I like to dress smart, but not corporate. I often wear dresses or navy trousers with a nice top. You won’t often find me wearing black, as I hate wearing it!
What is your favourite thing about going to work?
It is very important to me to enjoy who you work with as you spend most of your time at work, so for me, I am very proud to have a great team and it is a pleasure to work with each and every one of them.
I also love that we have such a variety of wonderful clients and that no two days are the same. My weeks fly by!
Do you have a favourite website design?
Tricky one. Web design is constantly changing, so I often come across sites that I think look good, but for me, the most important aspect is how easy the site is to use. If I am booking a holiday, I want the site to have lovely images to inspire me, but if the booking process is a shambles, I lose interest.
The value of user experience is finally getting greater recognition in recent times, which is great to see as I believe it is the starting point to developing any website.
On a typical day, what do you have for lunch?
I tend to have leftovers from the night before, usually chicken based. I am also a big fan of avocados at the moment, so I also often have avocado on toast or with a salad.
What is your favourite social media platform? Instagram.
What is your favourite font?
One that is legible! I can’t stand fonts that are faint, sketchy or applied too small.
What are you most famous for at Entyce?
You would have to ask the others 😉
Who would your dream client be?
To be honest, the nature of our clients are pretty spot on as we get to manage all their digital marketing which is the most enjoyable and productive way of working for us. Working with blue chip brands may add a bit of kudos, however, the scope for creativity is a lot more limited.
What’s your favourite book?
I’m not sure I have a favourite. I read a lot of novels, so I am usually reading a bestseller. I enjoyed The Island by Victoria Hislop and the Robert Galbraith books.
Who really makes the best cup of tea at work?
Paul and Olivia
