Chester Safer Streets

Chester Safer Streets is the second stage of a government-backed initiative aimed at tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in local communities across the UK. It was founded in 2021 following an £18.4 million investment and Chester was one of 40 areas to be awarded funds.

Entyce were approached by the Police & Crime Commissioner for Cheshire to create a distinctive and inviting brand for the campaign and, after successfully completing a rigorous tender process, were tasked with creating a number of supporting assets. These included a website, video, branded downloadable posters, social media graphics and concepts for branded materials such as tote bags and water bottles.

If there’s one thing Entyce know how to do, it’s how to create a brand! We knew we wanted something bright, bold and memorable that fully captured the spirit of the campaign’s key messages of Integrity, Inclusiveness and Innovation. Our team spent weeks researching concepts before coming up with the distinctive capital C that you see today. The colours and patterns are bright, bold and can be used freely, so the campaign can evolve and grow – just as the City of Chester itself does!

The Chester Safer Streets website was intended as a hub for the local communities and businesses of Chester to learn more about the campaign and how they could get involved. As well as explaining how the Safer Streets investment came to be, the website also features downloadable assets such as posters, social media graphics and logos for both businesses and individuals to use freely to show their support.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Entyce project without a video to match and so we just had to create a dynamic, animated video to showcase what Chester Safer Streets is, what it stands for and what a difference the funding and support will make to the people of Chester.
